Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Stack Later ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Stack Later is a personal finance application designed to help users track and build savings habits. The App allows you to:

Log "save moments" when you skip impulse purchases
Track savings progress and build streaks
Set and monitor savings goals
Optionally link bank accounts to verify transfers

Stack Later is a tracking and motivational tool. We do not provide financial advice, and you should consult a qualified financial advisor for investment or financial planning decisions.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stack Later. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Submit false or misleading information
Use automated systems to access the App without permission
Reverse engineer or decompile the App

Bank Account Linking

If you choose to link a bank account, you authorize us to use Plaid Inc. to access your financial information. By linking your account, you:

Authorize read-only access to account balances
Acknowledge that we rely on third-party services for this feature
Understand that bank linking is optional and can be disconnected at any time

We are not responsible for any errors or delays in data from your financial institution or Plaid.

Intellectual Property

The App and its contents, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Stack Later and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Stack Later is not a bank and does not hold your money. Any savings you track are held in your own bank accounts. We are not responsible for the accuracy of balance information from linked accounts.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACK LATER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stack Later and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Stack Later operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
